Become Rescue Certified
In only four dives, you can complete a PADI Rescue Diver certification. This certification teaches you how to remain calm and execute a number of solutions for the more common diving emergencies. This certification creates a well-rounded diver who can handle tough situations. The course makes you an awesome dive buddy.
You will learn how to recognize and problem-solve critical situations where timeliness and execution are necessary. Your instructor will guide you through several scenarios. You will receive Emergency First Response training, unless you have current CPR and First Aid training, in addition to dive training scenarios and e-learning coursework.
The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you a variety of techniques to help you prepare to deal with minor and major dive emergencies. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond to all situations. Put your knowledge and skills into practice during rescue scenarios. Topics include:
- Self-rescue
- Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
- Emergency management and equipment
- Rescuing panicked divers
- Rescuing unresponsive divers
